GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 20 July 2009
prohibiting the placing on the market or putting into circulation of a product containing dimethylfumarate
The Government orders the implementation of Act No. 102 / 2001 Coll., on General Product Safety and on the amendment of certain laws (Act on General Product Safety), as amended by Act No. 146 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 277 / 2003 Coll., Act No. 229 / 2006 Coll., Act No. 160 / 2007 Coll. and Act No. 378 / 2007 Coll.:
This Regulation implements the relevant provisions of the European Communities (1) and prohibits the placing on the market or putting into circulation of a product containing dimethylfumarate.
(1) Dimethyl fumarate is a chemical named according to IUPAC dimethyl- (E) -butenedionate (CAS No 624-49-7, EINECS No 210-849-0).
(2) For the purposes of this Regulation, a product containing dimethylfumarate shall mean a product or part thereof where:
(a) the presence of dimethylfumarate is indicated; or
(b) the concentration of dimethylfumarate above 0,1 mg / kg by weight of the product or part thereof.
A product containing dimethylfumarate is always considered dangerous and must not be placed on the market or put into circulation.
Efficacy
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
