Government Regulation
of 8 February 1949
Replacing the judges of the people.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic hereby orders pursuant to Section 19 of the Act of 22 December 1948, No. 319 Coll., on the depopulation of the judiciary:
(1) It is for the judges of the people working in the courts of the county, the courts of the county or the supreme court, who reside outside the seat of the court to which they were called, to replace the final statements relating to the journey from the place of residence to the seat of the court, to stay in the seat of the court and to return to the following amounts:
1. Reimbursement of their actual incurred travel expenses, but not more than the amount equal to the public transport means of transport on regular routes of the 3rd carriage class or 2nd carriage class.
2. Day-to-day bed-room 70 Ccs, if the meeting to which they were called persists, several days in a row, or if they were unable to make their way back on the day of the meeting.
3. Disgusting, permanent stay on the road and at the court place for more than 6 hours for each day during the stay

(2) Where a sitting is held outside the seat of a court, the provisions of the preceding paragraph shall apply mutatis mutandis.
In addition to the reimbursement of the final edition, the judge of the people shall be entitled to compensation for the loss of wages (loss of service) and the salary of the sitting. These salaries shall be paid for each day if the sitting is held daily:
1. not more than 5 hours, 40 CZK,
2. More than 5 hours, 70 Ccs.
An advance may be granted to the judges of the people for compensation for the termination and for the loss of wages (loss of service).
(1) The right to compensation and salaries provided for in Sections 1 and 2 must be exercised within 15 days of the end of the sitting to which the Judge of the People has been called.
(2) Refunds, salaries and advances are granted to judges of the people on official reserve. Such claims shall be decided by the President of the Court; there is no appeal against the decision.
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 February 1949; they shall be carried out by the Minister of Justice in agreement with the Minister of Finance.
