Government Regulation
of 14 February 1947
on the inclusion of military services in the legal service of advocates.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic hereby orders pursuant to Article I, No 4 of the Law of 26 May 1936, No 144 Coll., amending and supplementing certain provisions on lawyers:
(1) Military services are included in the legal services prescribed for entry in the list of lawyers by half.
(2) The legal service prescribed for entry in the list of lawyers under Article 5 (1) of the Law of 16 October 1946, No 201 Coll., on the modification of certain questions relating to legal proceedings, is to be counted only if the legal service prescribed by the lawyer is not reduced by a total of more than 1 1 1 / 2 years.
(3) The candidates for the legal service prescribed for entry in the list of lawyers under Paragraph 5 (2) of that Law shall be charged for military service under this Regulation only if the prescribed legal service with the lawyer is not reduced by more than 3 years in total.
Military service under this Regulation shall mean the service of presentative and military training of members of the reserve in Czechoslovak armed forces; the period for which the military service has been extended from punishment shall not be taken into account.
The Government Decree of 3 July 1936, No 224 Coll., on the netting of military services which are representative of the legal practice of the candidates of the advocacy, is hereby repealed.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication and shall apply in the Czech and Moravian-Silesian States; they shall be carried out by the Minister of Justice.
