on Health Awards by the Ministry of Health
The Government mandates the implementation of Act No. 218 / 2000 Coll., on the Budget Rules and on the Amendment to Certain Related Laws (Budget Rules), as amended by Act No. 493 / 2000 Coll., Act No. 141 / 2001 Coll., Act No. 187 / 2001 Coll., Act No. 450 / 2001 Coll., Act No. 320 / 2001 Coll., Act No. 202 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 320 / 2002 Coll., Act No. 130 / 2003 Coll., Act No. 138 / 2006 Coll., Act No. 186 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 257 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 436 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 482 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 127 / 2005 Coll., Act No. 361 / 2005 Coll.
Subject matter
This Regulation sets out the types of health awards awarded by the Ministry of Health (hereinafter referred to as "the Ministry ') and the conditions for granting them.
Valuation types
The Ministry may award the following awards:
(a) the price of the Minister for Health for work for the benefit of persons with disabilities;
b) The Minister for Health for the Development of Health Care,
c) Prof. MUDr. Gustav Kabrhel Prize,
(d) Macropoulos price,
e) PhDr. Alice Garrigue Masaryk Prize,
(f) The Minister for Health for the Development of Volunteering in Health.
The Minister for Health for Work for People with Disabilities
(1) The price of the Minister for Health for work for disabled persons is given to evaluate the benefits of care for disabled persons and care for chronically ill persons in organisations which carry out their activities in the care of disabled persons and care for chronically ill persons.
(2) The price of the Minister for Health for work for disabled persons is awarded to a natural person; it can also be awarded in memoriam.
(3) The price of the Minister for Health for Work for Persons with Disabilities can be awarded annually on 3 December on the occasion of the International Day of Disabilities. In a calendar year, only one Ministry of Health Award may be awarded for work for the benefit of disabled persons.
(4) The price of the Minister of Health for work for people with disabilities is included in the plaque, including ethue and a cash award of CZK 40,000. In the case of an in-memoriam award, no cash valuation shall be provided.
The Minister for Health for the Development of Health Care
(1) The price of the Minister for Health for the Development of Health Care is awarded for the evaluation of professional benefits in the field of health care for disabled persons and chronic people in the Czech Republic.
(2) The price of the Minister for Health for the Development of Health Care is awarded to a natural person; it can also be awarded in memoriam.
(3) The price of the Minister for Health for the Development of Health Care can be awarded on 3 December each year on the occasion of International Disabled Day. In a calendar year, only one Ministry of Health Award can be awarded for the development of health care.
(4) The price of the Minister of Health for the development of health care is included in the plaque, including ethue and a cash award of CZK 40,000. In the case of an in-memoriam award, no cash valuation shall be provided.
Price Prof. MUDr. Gustav Kabrhel
(1) The Award of Prof. MUDr. Gustav Kabrhela is awarded for the evaluation of persons who have contributed significantly to the development of the protection and promotion of public health in the Czech Republic.
(2) The Prize of Prof. MUDr. Gustav Kabrhel is awarded to a natural or legal person.
(3) The price of Prof. MUDr. Gustav Kabrhel can be awarded annually on 7 April on the occasion of World Health Day. In the calendar year, only one Prof. MUDr. Gustav Kabrhela prize can be awarded.
(4) The award of Prof. MUDr. Gustav Kabrhela is made up of a plaque including an etue and a cash award of CZK 100,000.
Macropolus price
(1) The Macropoulos Prize is awarded for the evaluation of an exceptional and in practice proven project addressing the health and health needs of seniors in the Czech Republic.
(2) The Macropoulos Prize is awarded to the municipality of the Czech Republic or to a non-state non-profit organisation.
(3) The Macropoulos price can be awarded annually on 1 October on the occasion of the International Senior Day. In a calendar year, only one Macropoulos prize can be awarded.
(4) The Macropoulos Prize consists of an artistic object, symbolizing the focus of the award, and a cash award of CZK 300,000.
Dr. Alice Garrigue Masaryk Prize
(1) The award of PhDr. Alice Garrigue Masaryk is awarded to the evaluation of persons who have contributed significantly to the development and strengthening of the prestige of the field of nursing and other non-medical health professions, or for the exceptional contribution in health care provided by non-medical health professionals.
(2) The price of PhDr. Alice Garrigue Masaryk is awarded to a natural person; it can also be awarded in memoriam.
(3) The award of PhDr. Alice Garrigue Masaryk can be awarded on 12 May each year on the occasion of the International Sisters Day. In a calendar year a maximum of 3 PhDr. Alice Garrigue Masaryk Awards can be awarded.
(4) The PhDr. Alice Garrigue Masaryk award consists of a commemorative certificate and a cash award of CZK 100,000. In the case of an in-memoriam award, no cash valuation shall be provided.
The Minister for Health for the Development of Volunteering in Health
(1) The price of the Minister of Health for the development of volunteering in health care is awarded for the evaluation of providers of bed care services who have made a significant contribution to the development of volunteering in the Czech Republic and who have established a programme of volunteering in the Czech Republic.
(2) The price of the Minister for Health for the Development of Volunteering in Health is awarded to a legal person.
(3) The price of the Minister for Health for the Development of Volunteering in Health can be awarded annually on 5 December on the occasion of the International Day of Volunteers. In a calendar year, only one Ministry of Health Award can be awarded for the development of volunteering in health care
(4) The price of the Minister for Health for the Development of Volunteering in Health is a plaque and a financial award of CZK 150 000.
Common and final provisions
(1) Proposals for the award of valuations under § 3 to 6b may be submitted to the Ministry by natural or legal persons.
(2) Proposals for awards must be submitted in writing. Where the applicant is a natural person, the proposals shall include the name and, where appropriate, the name, surname and address of the applicant's permanent residence, if the applicant is a legal person, the proposals shall include the business name and registered office of the applicant.
(3) In the case of an in memoriam valuation proposal, the application shall include the name, surname of the natural person proposed for the award of the award, the justification of the proposal and the name and, where applicable, the name, surname and address of the permanent residence of the natural person who could take over the valuation.
(4
(5) The application for the award of an award pursuant to Article 5 shall also include the name and, where applicable, the name, surname and address of the permanent residence of the person proposed for the award of the award, if any, the natural person, the company or the name and address of the person proposed for the award of the award, the legal person and the justification for the proposal.
(6) Furthermore, the application for the award of an award pursuant to Articles 6 and 6b shall include the business or name of the legal entity referred to in Article 6 (2) or Article 6b (2), which operates the project or programme proposed for the award of the award, the address of the place where the project or programme is carried out and the justification for the proposal.
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 November 2007.
