GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 20 July 2009
announcing the implementation of the forest inventory from 2011 to 2015
The Government orders pursuant to § 28 (2) of Act No. 289 / 1995 Coll., on Forests, and to amend and supplement certain laws (Forest Act):
Preliminary provisions
This Regulation announces the implementation of the forest inventory from 2011 to 2015 and sets out the scope and manner of its implementation.
Scope and method of inventory
(1) Inventarisation of forests is carried out on inventory squares located in a regular network of 2 x 2 km in the Czech Republic. In each inventory square, there are two inventory areas of a circular shape with a radius of 12,62 m whose centres are 300 m apart The inventory areas located in the forest shall be subject to the survey of the data set out in the Annex to this Regulation.
(2) All available inventory areas, which were set up in the framework of the inventory between 2001 and 2004, will be used for the purposes of the inventory operations 2011 to 2015.
(3) The data collected by inventory are processed and evaluated by region and at the level of the Czech Republic.
(4) Inventarisation of forests will be carried out by the Brandés nad Labem Institute for the Economic Treatment of Forests between 1 January 2011 and 31 December 2015,
(a) the outdoor forest inventory investigation shall be concluded by 31 December 2014; and
(b) it shall process, evaluate and publish the results by 31 December 2015.
(5) The Ministry of Agriculture coordinates forest inventory, oversees its progress and manages the inventory data. The results of forest inventory are published by the Ministry of Agriculture in a way that allows remote access and in the form of a printed publication.
Efficacy
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 2010.
