THE LAW
of 12 April 2006
on restrictions on the operation of pawn shops and certain other establishments at night
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
The purchase and sale of all goods used or goods without proof of the acquisition, acceptance or brokering of such goods or the purchase or acceptance of such goods (in bazaars and pawnshops) and the purchase of waste in facilities for the collection and recovery of waste shall be prohibited during the night period between 22 and 6.
Transfers
(1) A legal person or an operating natural person who operates in the premises referred to in § 1 shall commit an offence by making purchases, sales or purchases at a time when their implementation is prohibited by this law.
(2) A fine of up to 50 000 CZK may be imposed for the offence referred to in paragraph 1. If a legal or enterprising natural person commits an infringement pursuant to paragraph 1 repeatedly, a fine of up to CZK 100,000 may be imposed.
(3) Supervision of compliance with the obligations laid down by this Act is carried out by the municipal business offices responsible for the location of the establishment (1) and the Czech Trade Inspection2).
Efficacy
This Act shall take effect on the first day of the second month following its publication.
