of 2 September 1949
concerning the Convention on the regime of sailing in the Danube between the Republic of Czechoslovakia, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the People's Republic of Bulgaria, the Republic of Hungary, the People's Republic of Romania, the Soviet Socialist Republic of Ukraine and the Federal People's Republic of Jugoslavia, signed in Belgrade on 18 August 1948. *)
The Convention on the regime of sailing in the Danube with Annexes I, II and the Additional Protocol of the same day was negotiated between the Republic of Czechoslovakia, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, the People's Republic of Bulgaria, the Republic of Hungary, the People's Republic of Romania, the Soviet Socialist Republic of Ukraine and the Federal People's Republic of Jugoslavia in Belgrade on 18 August 1948. The Convention with Annexes I, II and Additional Protocol was approved by the National Assembly on 2 December 1948 and ratified by the President of the Republic on 28 January 1949.
The instruments of ratification have been deposited by the following States in accordance with Article 47 of the Convention with the Yugoslav Government:
Czechoslovakia 21 February 1949, Bulgaria 22 February 1949, Jugoslavia 23 February 1949, Romania 5 March 1949, Hungary 14 March 1949, Soviet Union 11 May 1949, Soviet Ukraine 14 May 1949.
Pursuant to Article 47, the Convention entered into force on 11 May 1949, i.e. following the composition of the sixth instrument of ratification.
