DECLARATION
Minister of Finance of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic
of 26 March 1971
on the issue of banknotes after 20 CZK
Minister of Finance of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic declares pursuant to § 3 paragraph 2 of Act No. 41 / 1953 Coll.:
§ 1
On 1 April 1971, the National Bank of Czechoslovakia banknotes of 20 CZK model 1970 (shape I) shall be issued.
§ 2
(1) 20 Ccs of model 1970 (shape I) is 58 mm wide and 132 mm long and is printed on yellowish paper with continuous dark-coloured watermark with protective blue and red fibres stored in paper.
(2) The watermark creates horizontal rows of alternating leaves and five-pointed stars across the entire surface of the paper.
(3) On the face of the banknote, printed all over the area, the main printing is made in blue with copper. The area of the cheek is divided into three identical fields by two vertical lines, composed of small repetitive digits "20." The central field is occupied by a large colorful irregular guilloche rose, in which is located the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic, also performed in colours. The rose is spread in an irritating (rainbow) design across the entire front of the beam consisting of a variety of wave lines. In the left field, which is also affected by a part of a colourful guilloche rose, at the upper edge the large figure is "20." In the right field is the engraving of the head of Jan Žižka from Trocnova according to the oldest preserved plastic appearance from the end of the 15th century. In the lower right-hand corner, there's a smaller figure of 20.
(4) In the middle field above there are two lines of text

under it also in two rows of text
"DVACET KORUN
CZECH LOCAL ';
Under the national emblem is the year "1970" and under it is a criminal threat
"Counterfeiting BANKNOTES IS CRIED BY LAW,"
which is framed at the top and at the bottom by a single line of small repetitive inscriptions "THE STATE BANK OF CZECH 'and on the sides by the numbers" 20'.
(5) At the lower edge of the middle field, the names of the authors are printed in small letters, on the left, the name of the author of the design "KAREL HRUŠKA INV." (designed) and on the right, the name of the engraver "JAN MRÁČEK SC." (ryl); In the middle is the company name of the printer "STATE PRESCRIBILITY PRAGUE, PRAGUE."
(6) On the back of the banknote, printed all over the area, the prevailing color is also blue. The area is also divided by two vertical wave lines into three identical fields. In the middle field, according to the period painting of the "Jens Code" from the end of the 15th century, a Hussite army led by a priest with a monster and Jan Žižka from Trocnova on a white horse is depicted.
(7) In the left field there is a large irregular colorful iloche rose, from which it spreads radially over the entire area of the reverse stylized digits "20" which are continuously increasing and stretching from the centre. In the upper left-hand corner, the number is 20. Giloš rose is covered with text in two lines

under it at the lower edge is placed in two rows a value cover clause
"BANKNOTES ARE GOLD AND OTHER CATCHES
THE ACTIVITIES OF THE STATE BANK OF CZECH REPUBLIC '.
(8) In the right field down there is mainly the background of a small colourful guilloche rose "20." The above is the banknote series designation in one capital letter of the alphabet and a two-digit number, above the guilloche smaller rose is the six-digit serial number of the banknote, both in red.
(9) At the lower left edge of the left field, the name of the author of the design "KAREL HRUŠKA INV." (proposed) is printed in small letters, at the lower right edge of the middle field the name of the author of the engraving transcription of the historical painting "MILOŠ ONDRÁČEK SC" (engraved).
§ 3
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
