Government Regulation
of 4 May 1955
establishing the Regulations of the "Order of the Red Labour Battalion," "Order of the Red Star of Labour," and honours of "For work loyalty" and "For work dedication."
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic orders, with the consent of the President of the Republic pursuant to § 1 of Act No. 247 / 1949 Coll., on Honours and Honours of Recognition:
For the appreciation of the merits of building socialism in our home country by years of exemplary work in one profession,
1. the following Regulations shall be established:
(a) "Order of the Red Labour Battalion,"
(b) the Red Star Order of Labour;
2. honours are established:
(a) "For professional loyalty,"
(b) "For labour sacrifice."
The Order of the Red Labour Battalion is awarded for extraordinary merit obtained by life's work, long, tenacious, dedicated and exemplary work on the crucial sections of economic, scientific or cultural construction of socialism, accompanied by loyalty to the profession.
The Order of the Red Star of Work is given for outstanding merit gained by longstanding, tenacious, selfless and exemplary work on crucial sections of economic, scientific or cultural construction of socialism, accompanied by loyalty to the profession.
Honours It is given for professional loyalty for outstanding merit, obtained by a multi-annual, tenacious, dedicated and exemplary work on crucial sections of economic, scientific or cultural construction of socialism, accompanied by loyalty to the profession.
Honours For labour sacrifice, it is given for merit obtained by multi-annual, dedicated and exemplary work on critical sections of economic, scientific or cultural building of socialism, committed to the profession.
(1) The terms and conditions for the award of orders and honours, their description and manner of wearing, are laid down in the Statutes to be published by the Prime Minister.
(2) The Government shall determine in which fields of work the regulations and honours provided for in this Regulation shall be awarded; lay down more detailed conditions for their award in each field of work.
Matters of orders and honours under this Regulation shall be managed by the Prime Minister.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; All members of the government will do it.
