THE LAW
of 25 April 2006
on the acceptance by the Czech Republic of a loan from an international financial institution to finance investment needs related to the implementation of the programme Construction and restoration of water and sewage infrastructure
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
(1) The Czech Republic is entitled to accept a loan from an international financial institution to finance investment needs related to the implementation of the programme Construction and restoration of water supply infrastructure and sewerage registered in the Information System for the financing of the reproduction of property under the special legislation1). The loan may amount to a maximum of CZK 3 000 000 000 and must be due within 25 years of the date of signature of the credit agreement, but not later than 31 December 2031.
(2) The loan agreement for acceptance of the loan referred to in paragraph 1 will be negotiated and concluded on behalf of the Czech Republic by the Minister for Finance.
The total expenditure of the State Budget approved by the State Budget Act in the financial year in which the funds thus obtained will be used may be exceeded by the funds obtained under Article 1. This overrun shall be amended in the relevant financial year by the balance of the State budget and by the appropriations.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
