The Government of the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic orders pursuant to § 27 paragraph 3 and § 75 of the Brandenary Act No. 92 / 1949 Coll., as amended:
Decree of the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic No. 17 / 1990 Coll., amending the duration of the basic service, is amended as follows:
Duration of basic service
(a) graduates who have completed their university studies through a state examination, (1) shall be set at 12 months;
(b) graduates who have been included in military training at universities and have completed part of that training by credit shall be set at 11 months;
(c) graduates of universities who have been included in military training at universities and have completed such training through final examinations, women who have volunteered to join the army, and soldiers who have taken on a commitment to further service shall be set at 9 months. "
The following Section 1a is inserted after Section 1:
The basic service of university graduates who have completed a higher education abroad and of graduates of Bohemian faculties shall last for 9 months if they have taken up their duties before the entry into force of this Regulation. '
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 July 1990.
