THE LAW
of 3 September 1997
supplementing the Act of the Czech National Council No. 238 / 1992 Coll., on certain measures relating to the protection of the public interest (Act on Conflict of Interest), as amended by Act No. 287 / 1995 Coll.
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
The Act of the Czech National Council No. 238 / 1992 Coll., on certain measures relating to the protection of the public interest (Act on Conflict of Interest), as amended by Act No. 287 / 1995 Coll., is added as follows:
1. In the title of the law, the following words are inserted after the words "of public interest ':" and concerning the incompatibility of certain functions'.
2. The following shall be inserted above Section 1:
CURRENT INTEREST '.
3. the following Part Two is inserted after Section 12, including the title and notes 3) and 4):
_
(1) The function of a Member or Senator is incompatible with the functions of (3) the employment or service relationship
(a) to the Ministry or another administrative office in respect of the functions appointed or those in which it is decided in the exercise of the administration;
b) to the Public Prosecutor's Office or Court, the Army of the Czech Republic, the Police of the Czech Republic, the Prison Service of the Czech Republic, the Security Information Service, the Supreme Audit Office, the Office of the President of the Republic, the Office of the Chamber of Deputies, the Office of the Senate, the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, the State Funds, the National Property Fund of the Czech Republic and the Land Fund of the Czech Republic, not about the function of subsidiary or service.
(2) A staff member who has been elected by a Member or a Senator in employment or service relationship with the bodies referred to in paragraph 1 shall, from the date of the composition of the promise (4), be released from the exercise of the rights and obligations arising from his or her employment or service for the duration of the mandate.

4) Article 23 of the Constitutional Law of ČNR No. 1 / 1993 Coll. '
Transitional provision
A staff member who is a Member or a Senator shall be released from the exercise of the rights and obligations arising from his employment or service as from the date of application of this law for the duration of the mandate.
Efficacy
This Act shall take effect on 1 January 1998.
