DECLARATION

amending Decree No. 183 / 1996 of the Ministry of Finance Coll., on the fulfilment of the reporting obligation by financial institutions
The Ministry of Finance provides pursuant to Article 20 (1) of Act No. 61 / 1996 Coll., on certain measures against the legalisation of proceeds from crime and amending and supplementing related laws, as amended by Act No. 159 / 2000 Coll.:
Decree No. 183 / 1996 Coll., on the fulfilment of the reporting obligation by financial institutions, is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 1 (2) reads as follows:
"(2) Financial institutions which are required to inform the Financial Analysis Department of the designation of a person to ensure the continuous exchange and exchange of information with the Financial Analytical Service and to fulfil the reporting obligation on a suspected transaction shall communicate the name, surname, permanent residence, address, workplace, work assignment, telephone and, where appropriate, fax or other connection of that person to the Ministry of Finance, P. O. BOX 675, Jindřišská 14, 111 21 Praha 1. They shall immediately notify the same address of any changes to the reported data. If the Financial Analysis Service does not receive such a communication, the ongoing contact, exchange of information and the fulfilment of the reporting obligation shall be provided directly by the statutory body of the Financial Institution."
2. In Article 2 (4), the words "an unusual transaction 'are replaced by the words" a suspicious transaction'.
3. Annex 1 shall read as follows:
"Annex No 1 to Decree No 183 / 1996 Coll.

4. In Annex 2, the words "Name and surname, title 'are deleted.
5. In Annex 2, the words "the statutory representative of the Ministry 'are replaced by the words" the Minister'.
This decree shall take effect on 1 August 2000.
