DECLARATION
Ministry of Interior
of 8 September 1997
amending and supplementing Federal Ministry of Interior Decree No. 99 / 1989 Coll., on road traffic rules (road traffic rules), as amended
The Ministry of Interior according to § 2 (1) (b) of Act No. 12 / 1997 Coll., on the safety and continuity of road traffic, provides:
Decree of the Federal Ministry of Interior No. 99 / 1989 Coll., on Road Traffic Rules (Road Traffic Rules), as amended by Decree No. 24 / 1990 Coll., Decree No. 533 / 1992 Coll., Decree No. 619 / 1992 Coll., Decree No. 123 / 1993 Coll. and Act No. 12 / 1997 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. in Paragraph 6 (2) (a), the words "and" after the words "the armed forces" shall be replaced by a comma and the following shall be inserted after the words "the armed corps": "and fire protection units";
2. In Article 16 (2), the words "110 km.h-1 'are replaced by the words" 130 km.h-1', the line after these words is replaced by a dot and the rest of the sentence is deleted.
3. In Article 16 (3), "60 km.h-1 'is replaced by" 50 km.h-1';
4. In Paragraph 16 (6), the comma after the words "armed forces' is replaced by" a 'and the words "and vehicles intended for test purposes bearing a special registration mark' are deleted.
5. In Paragraph 34 (3), the words "and 'after the words" the armed forces' are replaced by the words "armed security corps', the following words are inserted:" and fire protection units'.
6. In Paragraph 44 (1), after the words "signs (on tables)," the comma shall be deleted and the following words shall be inserted: "or vertical signs of the variable (on panels),"
7. In Paragraph 44 (5), the following sentence is added at the end: "For vertical road signs of variables, the colour may be opposite to vertical traffic signs, so that the inscriptions and symbols which are dark for vertical road signs may be bright and the ground which is light for vertical traffic signs may be dark; the red colour of the symbols and boundaries of vertical transport signs of variables shall not change compared to vertical transport signs. ';
8. in Paragraph 44, the following paragraph 6 is inserted after paragraph 5:
"(6) Vertical road signs of the variable are used mainly in the road traffic control system, which responds to a particular situation in road traffic (e.g. ice, infrastructure impassability, construction and transport technical state of the road). '
Paragraph 6 shall become paragraph 7.
9. in Paragraph 45 (a), "No A 27" is replaced by "No A 28";
10. in Paragraph 45 (d), "No D 50b" is replaced by "No D 51";
11. in Article 68 (5), the words "the relevant organisation of an invalid union" shall be replaced by the words "the relevant civil society association of disabled citizens."
12. the Annex is added as follows:

Escape lane
Part I, Section III. Transport equipment of point 1. With 5b, the following signals are inserted:
S 5c
The light arrow on the left commands you to leave the lane or to circle the obstacle only in the marked direction
S 5d
Light arrow on the right commands to leave the lane or to circle the obstacle only in the marked direction
The following paragraph 15 is added to Article 1 of Part II (I) OF THE SAME TRANSPORT MARKS:
"(15) To mark No A 28:
The "Column" (No A 28) draws attention to the section of the road where due to the characteristics of the traffic current (e.g. high traffic intensity, closure, level crossing) a frequent occurrence of the column of standing or slow-moving vehicles should be expected. '
The following paragraph 28 is added:
"(28) To mark No D 51:
The "Escape Stripe" (No D 51) shall inform the driver of the existence of an escape stripe where, in the event of an emergency (reduced brake performance), the vehicle may be stopped by means of means of assistance (counter-slope, rough gravel surface). ';
This Decree shall take effect on 1 October 1997.
