GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 29 June 2011
on the introduction of summer time between 2012 and 2016
The Government orders pursuant to § 1 of Act No. 54 / 1946 Coll., on Summer Time, and to implement Act No. 262 / 2006 Coll., Labour Code, as amended:
§ 1
Subject matter
This Regulation implements the relevant provisions of the European Union1) and provides for the introduction of summer time between 2012 and 2016.
§ 2
The beginning and end of summer time from 2012 to 2016
(1) Summer time is introduced
(a) in 2012 on 25 March;
(b) in 2013, 31 March;
(c) in 2014, 30 March;
(d) in 2015 on 29 March;
(e) in 2016, 27 March.
These days, at the second hour of Central European time, the clock will shift to the third hour of summer time.
(2) Summer time ends
(a) in 2012 on 28 October;
(b) in 2013, 27 October;
(c) in 2014, 26 October;
(d) in 2015, 25 October;
(e) in 2016, 30 October.
In these days, the third hour of summer time will shift the clock to the second hour of Central European time.
§ 3
Impact of summer time on fixed weekly working hours
(1) The fixed weekly working hours for staff members whose beginning of summer time between 2012 and 2016 falls into their shift, if this shift decreases as a result of the introduction of summer time, will be one hour shorter in the week concerned.
(2) The fixed weekly working hours for staff members whose end of summer time between 2012 and 2016 falls into their shift, if this shift is extended as a result of the end of summer time, will be one hour longer in the week concerned.
§ 4
Efficacy
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 September 2011.
