on the introduction of summer time in 1989
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic orders pursuant to § 1 of Act No. 54 / 1946 Coll., on Summer Time, and to implement the Labour Code after discussion with the Central Council of Trade Unions:
The beginning and end of summer time in 1989
(1) In 1989, summer time was introduced on 26 March. This day, at the second hour of Central European time, the clock will shift to the third hour of summer time.
(2) The summer time referred to in paragraph 1 expires on 24 September. This day, at three o'clock in summer time, the clock will shift to two o'clock in Central European time.
Impact of summer time on fixed weekly working hours
(1) The fixed weekly working hours for workers who will be on their working shift at the beginning of summer time in 1989 if this working shift decreases as a result of the introduction of summer time, will be one hour shorter in the week concerned.
(2) The fixed weekly working hours for workers who will be on their work shift in 1989, if they are extended as a result of the end of summer time, will be one hour longer in the week in question.
Efficacy
This Regulation shall enter into force on 1 January 1989.
