DECLARATION
of 14 August 2007
laying down the qualification conditions for the classification of professional soldiers
According to § 3 (2) (b) of Act No. 221 / 1999 Coll., on professional soldiers, as amended by Act No. 254 / 2002 Coll.:
(1) The qualification requirement is education1) provided for the performance of the service in the relevant service classification.
(2) For the performance of the service in the relevant service title, the minimum educational attainment in the evaluation body shall be:
(a) candidates for enrollment - secondary education with a certificate,
(b) waiting for officers - secondary education with a graduate exam,
c) Rotmasters with a fixed rank, sergeant and master of science - middle education with a certificate,
d) Rotmasters with a designated rank Staff Sergeant - secondary education with a graduate exam,
(e) ensign with a defined rank of ensign, ensign and ensign - middle education with a graduate exam;
(f) enrollment officers with a defined rank of Staff Ensign - university education in the Bachelor's study programme;
(g) junior officers with appointed rank as Lieutenant, Lieutenant, Lieutenant and Captain - university education in the Bachelor's study programme;
(h) senior officers with a designated rank of Major, Lieutenant Colonel, Colonel - Higher Education in Master's Degree Program;
(i) generals with a defined rank as Brigadier General, Major General, Lieutenant General, Military General - Higher Education in Master's study programme.
For the performance of the service in the relevant service classification, the qualification conditions set out in Decree No. 270 / 1999 Coll., which sets out the qualification conditions for the classification of professional soldiers, may be considered to be specified for a maximum period of 5 years after the entry into force of this decree.
Decree of the Ministry of Defence No. 270 / 1999 Coll., laying down the qualification conditions for the professional classification of soldiers, is hereby repealed.
This Decree shall take effect on 1 September 2007.
