amending Decree No. 28 / 1969 Coll., on Admission to Higher Education
The Ministry of Education of the Slovak Socialist Republic provides, pursuant to § 19 paragraph 1 of Act No. 19 / 1966 Coll., on Higher Education:
The Decree of the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Socialist Republic No. 28 / 1969 Coll., on admission to university is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 2 (1) and (2) reads as follows:
"(1) For admission to a university in the normal school year, the applicant may submit only one application indicating the field of study chosen, the faculty concerned and the university.
(2) Applications to study at a university shall be submitted by pupils providing full secondary education on the prescribed forms to school heads by 31 March, to the higher education institutions by 31 December of the preceding year. School heads shall send them to the Dean by 15 April at the latest and to the University of Arts by 15 January at the latest. The other candidates shall send applications directly to the debtors by 15 April at the latest, to the higher education institutions of the arts by 15 January. '
Article 2 (4) (1) reads as follows:
"(1) Admission examinations for higher education are only held after graduation. The entrance examinations may take place at the universities of the arts since 1 February. The Dean shall inform the candidate at least 14 days ahead of the date of the examinations."
3. Paragraph 5 (1), first sentence, reads as follows:
"(1) It shall organise its own admission and the admission of candidates shall be decided by the receiving committee upon completion of the entrance examinations. ';
4. Paragraph 5 repeals paragraph 2 and paragraphs 3 and 4 are renumbered paragraphs 2 and 3.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
