Government Regulation
of 27 May 1952
on the reorganisation of apprenticeship examinations.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic, with the agreement of the President of the Republic pursuant to § 42 (1) of Act No. 241 / 1948 Coll., on the first five-year Economic Plan for the Development of the Czechoslovak Republic (Act on the Five-Year Plan):
§ 1.
(1) At the end of the teaching period, apprentices perform an apprenticeship examination in the field to which they have been taught. The apprenticeship examination is to verify how apprentices have acquired the necessary knowledge and skills in the field of teaching to determine the professional qualifications of apprentices.
(2) It is for undertakings to carry out apprenticeship examinations.
§ 2.
(1) An apprentice who has successfully passed the apprenticeship examination shall issue a teaching certificate.
(2) An apprentice who has failed to pass the apprenticeship exam shall issue a certificate of teaching time instead of a teaching certificate and provide him with the possibility of further vocational training so that the apprentice can pass the apprenticeship exam successfully.
§ 3.
(1) The enterprise may authorise the apprenticeship examination before the end of the teaching period.
(2) The enterprise may also allow apprenticeship examinations to be carried out by persons over 18 years of age, even if they are not subject to training in the course of their studies.
(3) The competent ministries shall determine in agreement with the Ministry of Labour the conditions under which an undertaking may authorise the apprenticeship examination to be carried out in accordance with the provisions of the preceding paragraphs.
§ 4.
(1) The costs of carrying out apprenticeship examinations shall be borne by the undertaking.
(2) The competent ministries and their subordinate bodies shall supervise the conduct of apprenticeship examinations.
(3) The relevant ministries will issue guidelines for apprenticeship examinations according to the principles agreed with the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Education, Science and Arts, the Unified Union Organisation and the Czechoslovak Youth Union.
§ 6.
(1) The provisions contrary to this Regulation are hereby repealed. in particular, Government Regulation No 186 / 1949 Coll., on the interim training of apprentices is repealed.
(2) Pending the adoption of the provisions of this Regulation, the provisions of the present Regulation shall be applied mutatis mutandis, provided they do not contravene this Regulation.
§ 7.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; All members of the government will do it.
