establishing the State Office for Church Affairs.
The National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Republic decided on the following Act:
The State Church Office is hereby established as a central office; it shall be managed by a minister designated by the President of the Republic.
The task of the State Office for Religious Affairs is to ensure that religious and religious life develops in accordance with the Constitution and the principles of the People's Democratic Constitution, thereby ensuring for every constitutional guaranteed right of freedom of religion, based on the principles of religious tolerance and equality of all religions.
The competence in all matters of church and religious, which have been carried out so far by other central authorities, passes to the State Office of the Church.
In Slovakia, the Minister, who manages the State Church Office, exercises his duties in principle through the Slovak Church Office, managed by a delegate designated by the Government.
The Government shall issue detailed provisions on the jurisdiction and organisation of the State Office for Religious and Slovak Church Affairs, as well as on the proceedings before them, by regulation.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication; it shall be carried out by all members of the Government.
