On 17 August 1999, the Constitutional Court decided in plenary on a proposal by the District Office in Šumperk to repeal the generally binding Decree of the City of Šumperk of 15 December 1993 No 22 / 93 prohibiting the use of fireworks as follows:
The Order of the City of Šumperk of 15 December 1993 No 22 / 93 concerning the prohibition of the use of fireworks shall be repealed on the date of the publication of this finding in the Collection of Laws.
