DECLARATION
Ministry of Industry and Trade
of 14 June 2001
establishing the definition of energy sources to be classified as renewable
The Ministry of Industry and Trade provides pursuant to § 14 (5) of Act No. 406 / 2000 Coll., on Energy Management, (hereinafter referred to as "the Act") with regard to § 5 (4) (e) of the Act:
Subject matter
This decree defines energy sources which will be assessed as renewable in relation to the provision of subsidies from the state budget pursuant to Section 5 (4) (e) of the Act.
Renewable energy sources for electricity production
The renewable source for electricity generation is:
(a) hydropower in installations up to 10 MWe;
(b) solar energy;
(c) wind energy;
(d) biomass in establishments up to 5 MWe;
(e) biogas;
(f) fuel cells;
(g) geothermal energy.
Renewable energy sources for heat energy production
The renewable source for heat energy generation is:
(a) solar energy;
(b) geothermal energy;
(c) biomass in establishments up to 20 MWt;
(d) biogas;
(e) fuel cells.
Efficacy
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
