THE LAW
of 26 March 1975
on the award of state awards to Clemente Gottwald
The Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic decided on this law:
The state awards of Clemente Gottwald are awarded as a token of the honorary recognition of the socialist state for outstanding creative performances that have enriched human knowledge, created artistic values or otherwise contributed to solving the tasks of socialist construction and further development of culture in our country.
The State Awards of Clemente Gottwald are awarded annually by the President of the Republic on a proposal from the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic on 9 May.
The state awards of Clementa Gottwald can be awarded to individual persons or collective
- works, performances or discoveries in the field of social, natural, mathematical, medical and technical sciences,
- for excellent inventions and fundamental changes in the development of technology and the excellent application of new treatment methods,
- for works or performances in the field of writing, art, theatre, music, film and television.
(1) The honorary title of "Laureate of the State Prize of Clementa Gottwald" belongs to the Honorary.
(2) The Laureates of the State Prize of Clementa Gottwald have the right to wear a red ribbon on both sides lined with a blue and white stripe, with a laurel smudge.
(1) The state awards of Klement Gottwald are accompanied by a reward of 50 000 CZK; If a collective consisting of three or more persons is awarded, the reward is 70 000 CZK.
(2) Rewards are not subject to taxes or charges.
(1) Proposals for the award of the State Awards of Clementa Gottwald are made by public institutions, organisations or individuals of the Committee on State Awards of Clementa Gottwald.
(2) The Committee on State Awards of Clemente Gottwald and his Commission on Science, Technology and Art are composed of excellent representatives of science, technology and art and other fields of creative activity. The members of the Committee and the Commission shall be appointed and withdrawn by the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic.
(3) The Committee on State Awards of Clemente Gottwald assesses the proposals submitted and presents a proposal to the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic for the award of state awards. It does so on the basis of the opinions of its committees.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic regulates the way in which the proposals for the award of the State Awards of Klement Gottwald are discussed.
Government Decree No. 29 / 1962 Coll., on the award of state awards to Clemente Gottwald, is hereby repealed.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
