Legal measures of the Bureau of the National Assembly
of 31 March 1955
establishing the Presidium of the Supreme Court.
The Bureau of the National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Republic has decided on the following legal measure under Article 66 of the Constitution:
(1) In order to better organise the supervision of the Supreme Court on the decision-making activities of courts in criminal and civil matters, a presidium of the Supreme Court is hereby established.
(2) The Presidium of the Supreme Court shall consist of the President of the Supreme Court, his Vice-Presidents - the Presidents of the Criminal, Civil and Military College and of another Judge of the Supreme Court, appointed by the Minister of Justice, both of the members of the Criminal or Military College for Presidium proceedings in criminal matters and of the members of the Civil College for Presidium proceedings in civil matters.
Presidium of the Supreme Court
1. prepare the documents for the hearing of the Supreme Court;
2. Negotiates matters of the organisation of the Supreme Court's supervision of the decision-making activities of the courts;
3. Decides on complaints concerning infringements of the law brought against decisions of the Chamber of a formation of the Supreme Court, unless, on a case-by-case basis, it decides to submit such complaints to the plenary of the Supreme Court.
Paragraph 26 (2) and Article 27 of Act No 66 / 1952 Coll., on the organisation of courts apply mutatis mutandis to the Presidium of the Supreme Court.
This legal measure shall take effect on the day of its publication; they shall be carried out by the Minister of Justice.
