DECLARATION
of 7 July 2022
on the issue of a commemorative silver two hundred crown for the 200th anniversary of the birth of Gregor Johann Mendel
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 paragraph 1 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll. and Act No. 89 / 2018 Coll.:
(1) On 20 July 2022 the 200th anniversary of the birth of Gregor Johann Mendel is issued a commemorative silver coin of 200 CZK (hereinafter referred to as the "two hundred crowns").
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version with polished field of coin and matte relief.
(3) Two hundred koruna is rolled from an alloy containing 925 parts of silver and 75 parts of copper. The weight of the 2-hundredth crown is 13 g, its diameter 31 mm and the force 2,3 mm. In the case of an embossing of two hundred crowns, the tolerance in the silver content shall be up to 1%, the difference in weight up to 0,26 g, the tolerance in diameter 0,1 mm and the tolerance in thickness 0,15 mm. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal design is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special design is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.925 * 13 g *."
(1) On the front side of the two-hundred crowns, a combination of gene interbreeding from the work of Gregor Johann Mendel, which are covered in the left part of the coin by the composition of an incomplete hexagon. Inside this composition there is a genetic table and 4 peas pods. At the left edge of the coin is the text "CZECH REPUBLIC" in the copy. The denomination designation with the abbreviation "200 CZK" is located above the genetic table. The brand of the Czech Mint is placed on the right of the genetic table.
(2) On the reverse side of the two-hundredth crown, the combination of the gene crossing from the work of Gregor Johann Mendel, which are covered in the right part of the coin by the composition of an incomplete hexagon. Inside this composition is a portrait of Gregor Johann Mendel from the profile. At the right edge of the coin lies the text "GREGOR JOHANN MENDEL" in the copy. The upper edge of the coin is the text "1822" and the lower edge of the coin is the text "2022." The initials of the author of the coin, academic sculptor Zbynek Fojt, which are made up of composite letters "F" and "Z" are placed under the chin of Gregor Johann Mendel's portrait.
(3) The picture of the two hundred crown is given in the annex to this decree.
This Decree shall take effect on 20 July 2022.
