on the charging of municipal rent and municipal charges levied on the basis of rental or rental value, for the years 1944 to 1946.
The Constitutional National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Republic decided on this law:
(1) If the municipal rent levy for 1944 has not yet been prescribed in the municipality, the competent national committee may decide that the authentic provision of this levy for 1943 shall apply, without the issue of a payment order, as a provision of a levy which cannot be contradicted, also for 1944, if the levy obligation continues in that year. If there were no more than 25% of the previous year in 1943, or if the proceeds of the rent or rental were reduced in 1944 as a result of war damage, a proper measurement of the levy shall be carried out for 1944.
(2) The resolution referred to in paragraph 1 shall be publicly announced in the usual manner in the municipality.
If the rates of the municipal rent levy in the rules applicable in the municipality for the years 1945 and 1946 are not graduated according to the amount of the rent and if the levy for those years has not yet been prescribed, the competent national committee may decide on the new rules for the years 1945 and 1946. If the benefit has already been prescribed under the current rules for 1945, the new rules may only adjust the levy with effect for 1946. The new rules are approved by the Ministry of the Interior in agreement with the Ministry of Finance.
Paragraph 1 and § 2 apply mutatis mutandis to municipal charges which are levied on the basis of rental or rental value.
This Act takes effect on the day of its publication and applies only in the Czech and Moravian-Silesian countries; It shall be implemented by the Minister for the Interior in agreement with the Minister for Finance.
