on the notification of the Czech Republic pursuant to Article 26 (4) of the European Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters (Strasbourg 20 April 1959) in connection with the adoption of legislation implementing Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3 April 2014 on a European Criminal Investigation Order (2014 / 41 / EU)
On 16 August 2018, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed the Secretary-General of the Council of Europe of the following notification:
"In accordance with Article 26 (4) of the European Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters (1) of 20 April 1959, the Czech Republic announces that, with effect from 16 August 2018, it has adopted legislation implementing Directive 2014 / 41 / EU of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3 April 2014 on a European Criminal Investigation Order (" the Directive ') which it considers to be uniform legislation within the meaning of this Article and, within the scope of the provisions of this Directive, it will apply that legislation in relation to Member States of the European Union which also apply their legislation for the implementation of the Directive.';
On 19 July 2018, the Parliament of the Czech Republic adopted a law implementing the Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council of 3 April 2014 on a European Criminal Investigation Order (2014 / 41 / EU). The Act entered into force on 16 August 2018.
This date shall also enter into force on the notification.

1) The European Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters, negotiated in Strasbourg on 20 April 1959, was published under No 550 / 1992 Coll., the correction of the Czech translation of the European Convention on Mutual Assistance in Criminal Matters was published under No 30 / 2021 Coll.
