on the issue of banknotes of CZK 50 model 1994
The Czech National Bank provides according to § 22 (a) of the Act of the Czech National Council No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank:
§ 1
On 21 December 1994, banknotes of the model 1994 (hereinafter referred to as "the model 1994") shall be issued for circulation.
§ 2
(1) The model 1994 banknote has the same dimensions, including tolerance, as the model 1993 banknote (hereinafter the model 1993 banknote). Paper of the same quality and colour shall be used for the 1994 banknote, with a protective window band as for the 1993 banknote.
(2) The degree watermark is of the same form and position as the 1993 banknote, but is smaller and has a different solution to the positive and negative parts.
(3) The protective serial number is in the same form and position as the model 1993 banknote. However, the contour mark is smaller and missing in the space inside the letters "C 'and" S' of the model 1993 banknote.
§ 3
(1) On the face of the model 1994 banknotes are pictures and texts the same as in the model 1993. They are printed using the same printing techniques as in model 1993.
(2) The front page of the model 1994 banknote differs from the front page of the model 1993 banknote as follows:
a) portrait, tactile mark for blind and weak-sighted and all texts are printed in carmine colour;
(b) the red and grey colours for printing with areas are more saturated and have slightly darker shades;
c) the ornamental surface for the hidden pattern placed in the portrait arm is printed in combination with the colour of carmine and brown violet, the pattern of the ornament is more pronounced, the edge of the portrait arm is covered with the right edge of the print pattern;
(d) a plant motif is highlighted on a denser red-coloured belt extending beyond the right unprinted edge; a small sheet on the belt creates a microtext in the form of the figure "50";
(e) the year of issue of the banknote is marked "1994";
(f) the gothic circles in the background of the flaming heart are printed in red at the top;
(g) the tear in the flaming heart is oval;
(h) the minor ornamental motifs of the background are finer and, with the exception of the area under the red-coloured belt which exceeds the right unprinted edge, are printed only in red;
(i) the underprint at the top and bottom of the banknote is significantly lighter than the main print pattern;
(j) the large number "50" on the wide unprinted edge (hereinafter referred to as "coupon") is printed in the upper part in the colour of brown purple, in the lower part in the colour of carmine; a small grid in its digits creates a different ornamental decoration.
§ 4
(1) On the reverse of the model 1994 banknote, the images and texts, except for the designation of the banknote manufacturer and the author of the engraving transcript of the reverse page of the banknote are the same as for the model 1993. They are printed using the same printing techniques as the 1993 banknote.
(2) The reverse side of the model 1994 banknote differs from the front side of the model 1993 banknote as follows:
(a) the large decorative Gothic letter "A," the vault of St. Salvator's Church, the great state emblem of the Czech Republic, the number "50" placed in the lower left corner of the print pattern and all the texts are printed in carmine colour;
(b) the grey-blue colour is more saturated and has a slightly darker shade;
(c) the pearls in decor lined with a large decorative gothic letter "A" and the windows of St. Salvator's church are filled with a brick red underprint;
d) the ornamental motif bordering from above and from below the large national character of the Czech Republic is printed in combination of blue and red;
(e) the small cassette in the underprint is finer and, except for the upper right corner of the printing pattern and the bottom part of the printing pattern in the middle of the banknote, is printed only in red in combination with carmine;
(f) the underprint at the top and bottom of the banknote is significantly lighter than the main printing pattern;
(g) the name of the printing works which have produced the banknote shall be "THE STATE PRESCRIBILITY PRAHA" and shall be placed at the bottom of the banknote in the centre; at the bottom edge of the banknote on the right, the name of the author of the engraving transcription of the main motif of the reverse side "V. FAJT SC."
(h) the area of the digits of the number "50" placed in the lower left corner of the print pattern is bright, without a small grid;
(i) the digits of the large number "50" on the coupon are printed at the top in the grey colour, in the bottom in the carmine colour, the small raster in their surface creates a different ornamental decoration;
j) at the bottom of the coupon, a graphic symbol in the form of a stylized heart is printed in the colour of blue and black.
§ 5
This Decree shall take effect on 1 December 1994.
