GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 25 June 2009
on the occupation of soldiers of the Army of the Czech Republic for rescue work and the management of the consequences of the flood disaster in the period until 31 July 2009
The Government orders pursuant to § 14 paragraph 3 and § 16 paragraph 4 of Act No. 219 / 1999 Coll., on the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, as amended by Act No. 546 / 2005 Coll.:
§ 1
A maximum of 1000 soldiers in active duty shall be used for the rescue work and for the management of the consequences of the floods in the Czech Republic from the date of entry into force of this Regulation until 31 July 2009.
§ 2
The use of soldiers in active duty will be decided by the Minister of the Interior, Mayor of the City of Prague or the capital of the respective regions depending on the territorial scope.
§ 3
The Minister of Defence shall designate soldiers in active service, including military equipment, to carry out their duties under Section 1.
§ 4
(1) This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
(2) This Regulation shall expire on 31 July 2009.
