Czech National Council
of 18 May 1990
on the declaration of July 6th, the day of the burning of Master Jan Hus, for the national holiday of the Czech Republic
The Czech National Council decided on this law:
§ 1
The sixth of July, the day of the burning of Master Jan Hus, is declared a national holiday of the Czech Republic.
§ 2
The 6th of July public holiday is a day of work.
§ 3
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
