Government Regulation
of 23 August 1949
on the embossing and issuing of silver hundred crowns in memory of the seventh anniversary of the issue of the upper law of Jihlava.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic hereby orders pursuant to Section 5, paragraph 2 of the Act of 11 March 1948, No 39 Coll., on the tender of the Czechoslovak currency:
(1) The seventh anniversary of the issue of the Upper Law of Jihlava is remembered with 1,000,000 pieces of the commemorative silver hundred crowns (hereinafter the "commemorative hundred crowns").
(2) The memory hundred crowns are derived from a mixture of 500 pieces of silver, 400 parts of copper, 50 parts of nickel and 50 parts of zinc. The gross weight of the commemorative stocron is 14 g. In the case of stamping, the deviation up and down is allowed in gross weight 10 / 1000 and in silver purity 5 / 1000. The coin diameter is 31 mm.
(3) There is a national emblem of the Czechoslovak Republic on the face of the commemorative stokorona, under which the inscription "REPUBLIC OF CZECHOSLOVSKÁ" in two rows and under the inscription "1949" with decorations on the sides.
(4) On the reverse of the commemorative stokron is a miner in the old period train coming out of the pit. With his right hand, he pulls off a hood with his head, in his left hand, leaning against a ladder, holding a caudal. At the lower edge, the coin's denomination is "100." Between it and the rim of the pit are signs of rock with growing flowers. At the edge of the coin is the inscription "700 YEARS OF HORNIC RIGHTS." On the bottom right is the name of the original "O. SPANIEL."
(5) The edge of the coin is smooth, embossed with six-pointed stars and simple waves; on both sides of the coin is a flat frame.
The National Bank of Czechoslovakia will start issuing the Stocorns at its headquarters in Prague, at its Regional Institute for Slovakia in Bratislava and at all its regional offices on 31 August 1949.
The commemorative hundred-koruna issued pursuant to Paragraph 1 shall be accepted by state and other public funds and monetary institutions without restriction. Otherwise no one is obliged to receive more than 10 pieces of these coins.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; to be carried out by the Minister for Finance.
