DECLARATION

of 4 July 2013

on the publication of the National Natural Monuments of the Dunajovice Hill and the establishment of its closer protection conditions

The Ministry of the Environment provides pursuant to § 79 (4) (h) of Act No. 114 / 1992 Coll., on the Conservation of Nature and Landscape, as amended by Act No. 218 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 312 / 2008 Coll. and Act No. 349 / 2009 Coll.:

§ 1

Definition of national natural heritage

(1) The National Natural Monument of the Dunajovic Hill (hereinafter referred to as the "National Natural Monument") is announced.

(2) The national natural monument is situated in the territory of the South Moravian Region, in the cadastral territories of Brod nad Dyjí, Březí u Mikulov, Dobrá Pole and Lower Dunajovice. The boundaries of the national natural monument shall be determined by closed geometric patterns with direct sides whose vertices are determined by coordinates of the uniform trigonometric network of the cadastral1). The lists of coordinates of the vertices of geometric patterns as they follow in the patterns are given in Annex 1 to this Decree.

(3) The protection zone of the national natural heritage is situated in the territory of the South Moravian Region, in the cadastral territories of Dobrá Pole and Lower Dunajovice. The boundaries of the national natural monument protection zone shall be determined by closed geometric patterns with direct sides whose vertices are determined by coordinates of the uniform trigonometric network of the cadastral1). The lists of coordinates of the vertices of geometric patterns as they follow in the patterns are given in Annex 2 to this decree.

(4) An indicative graphic representation of the territory of the national natural monument and its protection zone is given in Annex 3 to this Decree.

§ 2

Subject matter of protection

National natural monuments are protected

(a) grasslands of low xerophilic bushes with low almond (Prunus tenella), cherry (Prunus fruticosa) and rosebud (Rosa spinosissima),

(b) grasslands of short-legged lawns formed by the communities of the Pannonian sprat steppes and wide-scale dry lawns;

(c) rare and endangered plant species, in particular low almond stocks (Prunus tenella), pancicova (Artemisia pancicii), tartar cathode (Crambe tataria) and carbincolis (Serratula lycopifolia), including their biotopes;

(d) rare and endangered species of animals, in particular the populations of Mantis religiosa, including their biotopes.

§ 3

Closer protection conditions

Only with the consent of the competent nature conservation authority can the national natural monument

(a) permit and carry out changes to the types of land or to their exploitation (2);

(b) permit and carry out changes to finished buildings or changes to buildings before they are completed or to place construction, advertising and information facilities;

(d) to store goods, except for the short-term storage of timber on forest land;

(e) permit and carry out geological work linked to the encroachment on the earth's surface which does not cause changes or damage to the national natural heritage;

(f) indicate cycling or pedestrian routes;

(g) planting or planting plants or releasing animals;

(h) fertilise land or use chemical agents;

(i) to establish new feeding facilities or slangs; or

j) start fires.

§ 4

Efficacy

This Decree shall take effect on 1 August 2013.
