DECLARATION
of 4 June 2008
amending Decree No. 30 / 2001 of the Ministry of Transport and Communications Coll., implementing the rules on road traffic and the adaptation and management of road traffic, as amended
The Ministry of Transport provides pursuant to § 137 (2) and for the implementation of § 62 (5) of Act No. 361 / 2000 Coll., on road traffic and on amendments to certain laws (Road Traffic Act), as amended:
Decree No. 30 / 2001 Coll., implementing the rules on road traffic and the adaptation and management of road traffic, as amended by Decree No. 153 / 2003 Coll., Decree No. 176 / 2004 Coll., Decree No. 193 / 2006 Coll. and Decree No. 507 / 2006 Coll., is amended as follows:
1. Paragraph 6 (3) reads as follows:
"(3) The prohibition, restriction or order resulting from the vertical road sign shall end at a more distant border of the nearest intersection unless it has previously been terminated otherwise; This does not apply to the restriction or order expressed by the vertical road sign" Snow chains "(No C 5a), whose validity ends with the vertical road sign" Snow chains - end "(No C 5b), the vertical road sign" Winter equipment "(No C 15a), whose validity ends with the vertical road sign" Winter equipment - end "(No C 15b), the vertical road sign" End of the pedestrian zone "(No IP 26a), whose validity ends with the vertical road sign" End of the residential zone "(No IP 26b), and the vertical road sign" Night Zone "(No IP 27a), whose validity ends with the vertical traffic sign" End of the traffic zone "(No IP 26a)."
2. in Article 10 (1) (y), the dot is replaced by a comma and the following points (z) and (aa) are added:
"z)" Winter equipment "(No C 15a), which commands the driver of a motor vehicle of category M or N8) in the period from 1 November to 30 April to continue to drive only with the use of winter tyres (9), for motor vehicles with a maximum permissible mass of not more than 3 500 kg with a depth of not less than 4 mm of the main tread track or of notches on all wheels and for motor vehicles with a maximum permissible mass exceeding 3 500 kg with a depth of not less than 6 mm of the main tread track track or of all driving wheels; the use of winter tyres may be replaced by the use of snow chains; Additional table E 12 may be placed under the mark, indicating a different modification of the period of validity,
(aa) "Winter equipment - end" (No C 15b) which terminates brand C 15a.
8) Act No. 56 / 2001 Coll., on the conditions of the operation of vehicles on the road and amending Act No. 168 / 1999 Coll., on the insurance of liability for damage caused by the operation of the vehicle and on the amendment of certain related laws (Act on the insurance of liability from the operation of the vehicle), as amended by Act No. 307 / 1999 Coll. Decree No. 341 / 2002 Coll., on the approval of technical competence and on the technical conditions of use of vehicles on the road, as amended.

3. In Annex 3, point 4, the pictures and the names of the marks "C 15a Winter Equipment 'and" C 15b Winter Equipment - End' shall be added after the sign C 14b.

Efficacy
This Decree shall take effect on 1 July 2008.
