DECLARATION

on wage benefits for work on Saturdays and Sundays
The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs provides, on the basis of principles approved by the Government pursuant to § 12 of Act No. 53 / 1968 Coll., on Changes in the Organisation and Scope of Certain Central Authorities, in an agreement with the Central Council of Trade Unions:
(1) In the context of the shortening of working time and the introduction of operating and working arrangements with a five-day working week *), wage advantages shall be granted to workers in economic, budgetary and other organisations for each hour worked on Saturdays and Sundays up to 50% of the relevant wage rate and, where applicable, the respective amount of the basic monthly wage. To this extent, all benefits granted to workers so far for work on Saturdays and Sundays shall be included.
(2) The wage advantage for work on Saturdays and Sundays is paid to workers in addition to the overtime allowance and overtime allowance.
(3) The wage advantage for work on a Saturday or Sunday under the previous provisions shall not apply to the worker if he is granted a supplement for work on a Saturday or Sunday under the relevant regulations. * *)
(4) Where workers have so far been granted a wage advantage under the wage rules for work on Saturday and Sunday by other means or to a higher extent, they shall continue to receive this benefit to the present extent until the change in the basic wage system, unless otherwise decided by the central competent authority.
Organisations in which a collective agreement is concluded shall determine the manner and extent of the wage advantage and the conditions for granting it in that contract; they shall be designated by the head of the organisation in agreement with the relevant trade union body.
The provisions of this Order also apply to organisations in which a five-day working week has been introduced on the basis of the rules applicable until the effective date of Decree No. 63 / 1968 Coll.
Point 27 of Decree No 63 / 1968 Coll., on the principles for reducing weekly working time and for implementing operational and working arrangements with a five-day working week, is hereby deleted.
This Decree shall take effect on 1 January 1969.
