concerning the International Convention on the Safety of Life at Sea and the Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea, agreed in London on 17 June 1960
On 17 June 1960, the International Convention on the Safety of Life at Sea and the Rules for Preventing Collisions at Sea were negotiated in London.
The instrument of acceptance of the Convention and the Government of the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic was deposited with the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Advisory Organisation on 5 July 1967.
The Convention entered into force on 26 May 1965 pursuant to Article XI thereof. It entered into force for the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic on 5 October 1967 on the basis of its Article X. On the basis of the Final Act of the International Conference on the Safety of Life at Sea of 17 June 1960, the Rules have been applied since 1 September 1965 and are binding on the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic since 5 July 1967.
