Law
of 17 October 1946
on the Constitutional Committee of the Constitutional National Assembly.
The Constitutional National Assembly of the Czechoslovak Republic decided on this law:
§ 1.
The Constitutional National Assembly, to which pursuant to Article 1 of the Constitutional Law of 11 April 1946, No 65 Coll., is responsible for giving the Czech Republic a new Constitution, shall elect a special committee of the Constitutional Tribunal.
§ 2.
This committee will have 36 members elected according to the principle of proportional representation.
§ 3.
(1) The Constitutional Committee is hereby ordered to draw up a proposal for a new Constitution of the Czechoslovak Republic and the laws relating to the Constitution and to present them directly to the House.
(2) Otherwise, the provisions of the Rules of Procedure apply mutatis mutandis to the Constitutional Committee and its proceedings.
§ 4.
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication; it shall be carried out by all members of the Government.
