DECLARATION
of 18 June 2025
amending Decree No. 387 / 2010 Coll., on the display of a military character and a national distinguishing mark, the method of marking of military material by a military character and an internationally valid distinguishing sign, the depiction of a military uniform and military badges and their wearing and marking of military equipment by a national distinguishing mark or a national symbol or a sign of the Castle Guard (on military marks and uniforms), as amended
The Ministry of Defence provides pursuant to § 31 paragraph 6 of Act No. 219 / 1999 Coll., on the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, as amended by Act No. 147 / 2010 Coll. and Act No. 178 / 2023 Coll.:
Decree No. 387 / 2010 Coll., on the display of a military character and a national distinguishing mark, the method of marking of military material by a military character and an internationally valid distinguishing sign, the display of a military uniform and military badges and their wearing and marking of military equipment by a national distinguishing mark or a national symbol or a sign of the Castle Guard (on military marks and uniforms), as amended by Decree No. 479 / 2012 Coll. and Decree No. 430 / 2022 Coll., are amended as follows:
1. In the first sentence of Paragraph 13 (1), the word "is' is replaced by the words" registered in the military aviation register are 'and the words "symbol placed' are replaced by the words" flag placed '.
2. In the second sentence of Paragraph 13 (1), the words "It is always oriented 'are replaced by the words" They are always oriented'.
3. In Paragraph 13, the following paragraph 2 is inserted after paragraph 1:
"(2) Military aircraft operated
(a) the armed forces shall be identified by a national distinguishing mark;
(b) the legal person referred to in Article 35b (2) of the Armed Forces Act is designated as a blue-contested State flag. "
Paragraphs 2 to 11 shall be renumbered paragraphs 3 to 12.
4. In the first sentence of Article 13 (3), the words "up to four 'shall be inserted after the words" three'.
5. In the second sentence of Paragraph 13 (3), the word "arrowhead 'is deleted and the word" aircraft' is replaced by the word "aeroplane '.
6. In Paragraph 13, the sentence "In the case of special surface combat aeroplanes, the national distinguishing mark may be placed on the lower and upper surfaces of the carrier system only on one side of the torso axis. 'is added at the end of paragraph 3.
7. In Article 13 (6), the word "light grey 'is replaced by" light' and the word "dark grey 'is replaced by" dark'.
8. Paragraph 13 (9) reads:
"(9) The size of the national distinguishing sign in all variations on military aircraft is determined as one twenty-five to one fifty-fifth of the longest size of military aircraft. The resulting average of the national distinguishing mark shall be rounded upwards to the nearest decimeter. The width of the contour of the national distinguishing sign is one fifty-fifth of its diameter. '
9. Paragraph 13 (10) is deleted.
Paragraphs 11 and 12 shall be renumbered paragraphs 10 and 11.
10. In Article 13 (10), the words "as a general rule 'shall be inserted after the words" as a result' and the words "as a means' shall be inserted after the words" as such '.
11. in Paragraph 13 (10), the second sentence is deleted;
12. Paragraph 13 (11) reads as follows:
"(11) Paragraphs 3 to 8 shall apply mutatis mutandis to the location of the national flag. The dimensions of the execution of the State flag in all variations on military aircraft are determined by its width so that the ratio of the longest dimension of the military aircraft to the width of the State flag is 2: 75, the resulting width of the State flag being rounded up to the full decimals. The width of the contour of the flag shall be one fifty-fifth of its length. ';
(13) Annexes 13 and 14 are deleted.
Transitional provision
A military aircraft designated pursuant to Decree No. 387 / 2010 Coll., as effective before the date of entry into force of the Decree, may remain marked as such until its decommissioning.
Efficacy
This Decree shall take effect on the 15th day following that of its publication.
