DECLARATION
of 18 June 2025
on the determination of type-of-service classifications with decision periods
According to § 6a (4) of Act No. 221 / 1999 Coll., on professional soldiers, as amended by Act No. 332 / 2014 Coll.:
Type of service classification
The type of service classification shall be divided into basic, staff, command, professional classification of specialists and classification within the organisational structure of, or national representation of, international organisations.
Duration of the relevant period
The relevant period shall be for:
(a) basic classification for 4 years;
(b) Staff rank 5 years;
(c) a command rank of four years,
(d) professional qualification as a specialist for 10 years;
(e) professional classification within the organisational structure of the staff of international organisations or their national representation for 3 years.
Characteristics of type of service classification
The characteristics of each type of service classification are set out in the Annex to this Decree.
Transitional provision
The operative period in the service classification provided for in Decree No. 153 / 2015 Coll., on determining the type of service classification with the relevant time, as amended, is not changed by the entry into force of this Order. This does not apply in the case of a professional classification of a specialist for whom, by the relevant time, the relevant period laid down in Decree No. 153 / 2015 Coll., as amended, is fully counted.
Repeal
Decree No. 153 / 2015 Coll., on the establishment of type-service classifications with a decision period, is hereby repealed.
Efficacy
This Decree shall take effect on 1 July 2025.

Annex
Characteristics of type of service classification
I. Basic classification
This appropriation is intended to cover commitments remaining to be settled from previous years. Furthermore, basic professional activities to acquire the necessary skills under professional supervision for the future independent performance of less complex professional activities.
II. Staff rank
This appropriation is intended to cover commitments remaining to be settled from previous years. In addition, systemic service activities with complex internal breakdown, unspecified inputs and outputs with wide to complex links to a number of professional areas, including processes exceeding the tasks of the armed forces and the Military Police.
III. Command Service Classification
This appropriation is intended to cover commitments remaining to be settled from previous years. Furthermore, the rank of Chief Ensign or Chief Ensign.
IV. Professional classification of specialist
A professional classification in which specific, closely targeted professional activities are carried out, depending on the fulfilment of professional initial qualification assumptions and requirements and skills acquired by specific training and practice. Activities in processes requiring independent decision-making with high standards of expertise and experience ensuring the core capabilities of the armed forces and the Military Police.
