DECLARATION
of 3 August 2015
on the way prices are regulated and the procedures for regulating gas prices
Pursuant to Section 98a (2) (f) of Act No. 458 / 2000 Coll., on the Terms and Conditions of Business and on the Performance of Government Administration in the Energy Sector and on the Amendment of Certain Laws (Energy Act), as amended by Act No. 131 / 2015 Coll.:
Method of regulation
(1) The Authority regulates gas prices in the manner of official prices.
(2) The Authority regulates the gas prices of the supplier of the last instance by means of a material price adjustment.
Price formation procedure
In regulating the price of the related gas service, the Authority shall act in such a way that the regulated prices cover economically justified costs of ensuring the reliable, safe and efficient performance of the licensed activity, depreciation and reasonable profit ensuring the return of investments made in the licensed equipment and the legitimate costs of increasing energy efficiency in the construction and operation of the transmission and distribution systems.
Repeal
Decree No. 195 / 2014 Coll., on the method of regulating prices and procedures for regulating prices in gas, is repealed.
Efficacy
This Decision shall enter into force on 1 January 2016.
