DECLARATION
of 21 August 2014
on the issue of a commemorative silver 500 crown for the 100th anniversary of the birth of Jiří Kolář
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll.:
(1) On 24 September 2014, the 100th anniversary of the birth of the artist Jiří Kolář is issued a commemorative silver coin of 500 CZK (hereinafter referred to as the "five hundred koruna").
(2) Five hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version with polished field of coin and matte relief (hereinafter referred to as "special version").
(3) Five hundred crowns in normal and special design are rolled from an alloy containing 925 parts of silver and 75 parts of copper. The weight of the 500 koruna is 25 g, its diameter is 40 mm and its strength is 2.85 mm. In the case of embossing of five hundred crowns in normal and special design, the tolerance shall be 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In mass the tolerance is up to 0,50 g and in silver content the tolerance is up to 1%. The edge of the five hundred crown in normal design is serrated, the edge of the five hundred crown in special design is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.925 * 25 g *."
(1) On the front side of the five hundred crown is the theme of the apple, which is coated with texts represented by the art technique chiasmace. The name of the state "CZECH REPUBLIC" and the denomination of the coin with the abbreviation of the money unit "500 CZK" is in an unclosed copy. The name of the State and the denomination of the coin are separated by a dash. The brand of the Czech Mint consisting of the compositions of the letters "No" and "M" is above the letter "B" in the word "REPUBLIC." Above the letter "U" in the word "Republic" are the initials of the author of the front page of the academic sculptor Jiří Vineček, which are composed of the letters "jv."
(2) On the reverse side of the five hundred crown is a portrait of Jiří Kolář represented by the technique of the roll. Above the portrait is the inscription "SIRE COLLAR" and under the portrait are the years "1914-2014." At the lower edge of the five hundred crown, the initials of the author of the reverse side are five hundred crowns MgA. Martin Dašek, which are composed of letters "MD."
(3) The image of the five hundred crowns is given in the annex to this decree.
This Decision shall enter into force on 24 September 2014.
