of 27 September 1994
amending and supplementing Act No. 123 / 1992 Coll., on the residence of foreigners in the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic
Parliament has decided on this law of the Czech Republic:
Act No. 123 / 1992 Coll., on the residence of foreigners in the Czech and Slovak Federal Republic, is amended as follows:
Article 1 (2) (3) reads as follows:
"(3) When crossing the national borders of the Czech Republic, the stranger is obliged to submit to the control of the Ministry of Interior. When crossing the national borders of the Czech Republic for the purpose of short stay (§ 4), for which no visa is required, the alien is obliged to present, at the request of the inspection authority,
(a) a cash amount equal to the necessary costs for his stay in the Czech Republic and for travel to the State whose travel document has been proved; or
(b) documents certifying the security of the amount of money referred to in (a); or
(c) an invitation certified by the Ministry of the Interior containing details of the person called and the time for which he is invited, not exceeding the period laid down in the relevant international agreement (§ 2 (1)), confirming that the person who invited aliens to the Czech Republic will provide the means for his residence and pay the costs of his travel. "
2. In Paragraph 2, after paragraph 4, the following paragraph 5 is added:
"(5) The Ministry of the Interior may refuse entry into the territory of the Czech Republic for the reasons set out in § 14 (1) (b), (d) and (e) and if the obligation laid down in paragraph 3 applies to it, also for the failure to fulfil that obligation."
3. In Article 13, the current text becomes paragraph 1 and the following paragraph 2 is added:
"(2) The right of a foreigner to long stay shall also cease if the purpose or conditions under which the long-term stay was allowed has ceased to exist. ';
4. In Article 26, the following point (c) is inserted after point (b):
"(c) he who has invited foreigners to the territory of the Czech Republic through an invitation certified by the Ministry of Interior,"
Point (c) shall be renumbered (d).
5. In Paragraph 33, paragraph 4 is added after paragraph 3:
"(4) The invitation referred to in Article 2 (3) (c) shall be made on the official form. The model of the form shall be determined by the Ministry of the Interior. ';
6. The following Section 34a is inserted after Section 34:
The Ministry of the Interior shall, by law, determine the amount of the money referred to in Section 2 (3) (a). '
This Act shall take effect on the day of its publication.
