DECLARATION
of 3 January 2006
on the issue of commemorative silver CZK 200 for the 250th anniversary of the birth of F. J. Gerstner and the 2000th anniversary of the beginning of teaching at Prague Polytechnic
The Czech National Bank provides for the Czech National Bank in accordance with § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank:
(1) On the 250th anniversary of the birth of the major Czech technician F. J. Gerstner and on the 2000th anniversary of the beginning of teaching on Prague Polytechnic, commemorative silver two hundred crowns (hereinafter referred to as "two hundred crowns") are issued. The coin is shown in the annex to this decree.
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version intended for collector's purposes with a polished field of coin and matte relief (hereinafter referred to as the special version).
(3) The two-hundred koruna in normal and special design is cut from an alloy containing 900 parts of silver and 100 parts of copper. The weight of the two-hundredth crown is 13 g, its diameter 31 mm and its strength 2.4 mm. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal version is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special version is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.900 * 13 g *." In the case of stamping of two hundred crowns in normal and special design, the tolerance is 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In the mass, the allowed tolerance is up to 0,26 g and in the silver content is up to 1%.
(1) On the face of two hundred crowns, stylized geometrical patterns and drawing aids are displayed as a symbol of technology. On the left side of the two-hundredth crown, the name of the State "CZECH REPUBLIC" is given in one row from the bottom up, which partly overlaps the figure. On the left of the name of the state, two horizontal rows indicate the denomination of the coin with the abbreviation "200 CZK." In the upper and right edges there is a three-line text in the unclosed copy "OPENING THE TRAINING OF PRAGUE POLYTECHNICIES 1806 - 2006." At the bottom edge of the middle, there's a mint mark that drove two hundred crowns.
(2) There's a portrait of F. J. Gerstner on the back of the $200 crown. It is partially overlapping in the lower part with the one-line inscription "F. J. GERSTNER." At the right edge of the two-hundredth crown is an unclosed copy with the years "1756 - 2006." The author of the design is Vojtěch Dostál, DiS., whose initials, inverted letter "D," is located at the bottom of the two-hundred crown at its left edge.
This Decree shall take effect on 22 February 2006.
