Government Regulation
of 16 June 1956
repealing certain ministries and central government bodies.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic orders, with the consent of the President of the Republic pursuant to § 1 of the Constitutional Act No. 47 / 1950 Coll., on adaptations in the organisation of public administration:
(1) The Ministry of State Goods and the Ministry of Forestry and the Wood Industry are hereby repealed.
(2) A Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry is hereby established from the Ministry of Agriculture.
(3) The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has been transferred to the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of State Property, with the exception of the management of large-scale feeders and in the field of forestry, the Ministry of Forestry and the timber industry.
(1) They are being cancelled by the Ministry of Culture and the State Office for Church Affairs.
(2) The Ministry of Education is hereby established.
(3) The Ministry of Education and Culture is transferred to the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Culture, with the exception of those in the field of cultural relations with foreign countries and in the field of the polygraphic and gramophone industry, as well as the fundamental religious issues from the existing competence of the State Church Office.
(1) The Ministry of Buying is hereby repealed.
(2) The Ministry of Food Industry is hereby established as the Ministry of Food and Agricultural Products.
(3) The Ministry of Food and Agricultural Products is transferred to the Ministry of Agricultural Products, the Ministry of Food Industry, the Ministry of Purchase and Management of Large Feedingstuffs from the Ministry of State Goods.
(1) A Ministry of Consumer Industry is hereby established from the Ministry of Light Industry.
(2) The Ministry of Consumer Industry is transferred to the Ministry of Light Industry and in the field of wood processing and drank the Ministry of Forestry and Wood Industry and the Ministry of Culture in the field of polygraphic and gramophone industry.
The Ministry of Chemical Industry is transferred to the Ministry of Forestry and the Wood Industry in the Cellulose and Paper Industry.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is transferred to the Ministry of Culture in the field of cultural relations with foreign countries.
The Office of Inventions and the Office of Standardisation shall be repealed and the Office of Inventions and Standardization shall be established, to which the two offices of discharge shall be transferred. The head of the Office of Inventions and Standardisation shall be the President appointed and dismissed by the Government.
(1) The Government Committee on Research and Peaceful Use of Atomic Energy is hereby repealed.
(2) The existing competence of the Government Committee on Research and Peaceful Use of Atomic Energy, with the exception of the management of the Institute of Nuclear Physique, is transferred to the Ministry of Energy.
(3) The Institute of Nuclear Physics is incorporated into the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences as its Institute.
The detailed definition of the tasks of each central government body in relation to the transfer of competence under this Regulation shall be carried out by the government. The government will also define the competence of the Ministry of Education and Culture in fundamental religious issues and in this context will transfer the existing competence of the State Church Office on other issues to the executive bodies of the Regional (Central) National Committees.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; All members of the government will do it.
