Decree of the Minister of Finance
of 16 April 1955
on the issue of silver ten crowns, twenty-five crowns, fifty crowns and a hundred crowns in memory of the 10th anniversary of the liberation of the Czechoslovak Republic by the Soviet Army.
The Minister of Finance declares pursuant to § 2 (2) of Decree No. 35 / 1954 Coll., on commemorative coins:
(1) In memory of the 10th anniversary of the liberation of the Czechoslovak Republic by the Soviet army, commemorative silver 10s, 25 crowns, 50 crowns and 100 crowns are issued.
(2) The commemorative silver ten crowns and twenty-five crowns are derived from a mixture of 500 pieces of silver, 400 parts of copper, 50 parts of nickel and 50 parts of zinc, 50 crowns and 100 parts of silver and 100 parts of copper. The gross weight of the 10-crown is 12 g, 25-crown 16 g, 50-kron 20 g and 24 g stokron. In the case of stamping, the deviation up and down is allowed in gross weight 10 / 1000 and in silver purity 5 / 1000. The diameter of the 10-crown is 30 mm, 25-crown 34 mm, 50-crown 37 mm and 100-crown 40 mm.
(3) On the face of the commemorative silver ten crown is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Republic, around it the inscription "REPUBLIC OF CZECHOSLOVSKÁ" and the dividing sign (dot). On the back is a kneeling Soviet soldier with a girl on his knee, the date "9. 5. 1945 1955," abbreviations of the original's name "F. D" and coin value 10.
(4) On the face of the commemorative silver twenty-five crown is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Republic and under it the inscription "REPUBLIC OF CZECHOSLOVSKÁ" in two rows. On the back is a Soviet soldier pressing the hand of a woman of the people with a child on her hand, the date "9.5 1945 1955" in three lines, abbreviations of the original's name "F. D" and coin value 25.
(5) On the face of the commemorative silver fifty crowns is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Republic, around it the inscription "REPUBLIC OF CZECHOSLOVSKÁ" and the dividing sign (five-point star). On the back is a Soviet soldier holding a machine gun in the raised right, the date "1945 9 V. 1955," a flower, the name of the originator "A. Sopr" and the value of the coin 50.
(6) On the face of the commemorative silver stokroon is the state emblem of the Czechoslovak Republic located in a hint of a gear wheel, around it the inscription "REPUBLIC OF CZECHOSLOVSKÁ" and the dividing sign (the leaf). On the back, there are two Soviet soldiers, one of whom presses the hand of a barricader and the other kisses the boy who's coming, the date "1945 1955," abbreviations of the original's name "J. B" and the coin value 100.
This decree shall take effect on the day of its publication.
