DECLARATION
of 28 July 2015
on the commemorative badge of the participant in the May uprising of the Czech people
The Ministry of Defence provides pursuant to § 3 (2) of Act No. 158 / 2013 Coll., on the May uprising of the Czech people:
Model of commemorative badge
(1) The model of the commemorative badge of the participant in the May uprising of the Czech people (hereinafter referred to as the "memorial badge") is set out in the annex to this decree.
(2) The commemorative badge is an irregular quadrilateral-shaped fastening badge with a profile embossed from a tombak plate of Ms 63, the surface finish of which is made by a shaded brass oxide with a dyed state flag.
(3) The width of the commemorative badge is 26 mm at its base and 38 mm at the widest point away from the base of the commemorative badge, the height is 30 mm at the highest point of its upper edge and the thickness is 2,5 mm with a tolerance for the treatment of the tombak plate by pressing 0,5 mm.
(4) The dominant element of the face side of the commemorative badge is the fully coloured national flag of the Czech Republic, which consists of the draperia, which is laid over a smear with a growing flower and two leaves of lilac ("lilac"). The lilac flower is oriented parallel to the right edge of the commemorative badge upwards, both leaves pointing towards the lower edge of the commemorative badge. Over the right edge of the flag and the flower lilac is laid a Central European Gothic sword whose tip rises 4.5 mm above the upper, rounded edge of the commemorative badge. The shield of the sword overlaps the lower part of the lilac flower and partly enters through the blue and red fields of the state flag.
(5) The Central European Sword shall have a total length of 30 mm. The sword consists of a blade with a length of 21,5 mm and a hilt with a length of 8,5 mm. The hilt consists of a handle of 5 mm in length, followed by a 1 mm cap and a 2,5 mm diameter head.
(6) From the lower right corner of the commemorative badge to its surface is indicated a symbolic road made of quarry stone which passes into a disturbed, torn area creating a barricade. Above the state flag is placed in the arch of the upper edge of the commemorative badge polished positively ascending inscription "THE BLOOD OF THE CZECH PEOPLE." The inscription font is based on the font "Trajan Bold," it has a height of 4 mm and is changed to a curve object with a height of 1,5 mm.
(7) The individual elements of the commemorative badge are separate symbols with no correlation to their actual size.
(8) The reverse side of the commemorative badge is flat, without embossing, and there are two fastening needles to attach the commemorative badge to the garment. Among these closures is a box for engraving or embossing numbers under which a participant of the May uprising of the Czech people will be issued.
Rules for wearing a commemorative badge
(1) The commemorative badge is only entitled to wear a participant in the May uprising of the Czech people to whom it was issued.
(2) The commemorative badge is worn by a participant in the May Uprising of the Czech people on the lapel of the upper left pocket of a jacket, jacket, blouse or mantle of a military or service uniform, if he is entitled to wear a military or service uniform. In other cases, the participant of the May Uprising of the Czech people shall wear a commemorative badge on the left lapel of a civilian jacket, jacket or coat or on the left side of the collar of a civil garment, or on the left side of the chest of another civil garment.
Efficacy
This decree shall take effect on the 15th day following its publication.
