DECLARATION
of 2 June 2010
on the declaration of the National Natural Monuments of Kanyk and the establishment of its closer protection conditions
The Ministry of the Environment provides pursuant to § 79 (4) (h) of Act No. 114 / 1992 Coll., on the Conservation of Nature and Landscape, as amended by Act No. 218 / 2004 Coll., Act No. 312 / 2008 Coll. and Act No. 349 / 2009 Coll.:
Definition of national natural heritage
(1) The National Natural Monument of the Kaňk ("National Natural Monument") is announced.
(2) The national natural monument is situated in the territory of the Central Bohemian Region, in the cadastral territory of Sedlec near Kutná Hora. The boundaries of the national natural monument shall be determined by a closed geometric pattern with direct sides, the vertices of which are determined by the coordinates of the single trigonometric network of the cadastral1). The list of coordinates of the vertices of the geometric pattern as they follow in the pattern is given in Annex 1 to this decree. An indicative graphical representation of the territory of the national natural monument is given in Annex 2 to this decree.
Subject matter of protection
National natural monuments are protected by:
(a) a geological profile consisting of rocks of upper chalk, including paleontological location of chalk sediments, with the numerous occurrence of fossil marine fauna;
(b) warm-water communities of broad dry lawns;
(c) biotope and populations of German purge (Stachys germanica).
Closer protection conditions
Only with the consent of the competent nature conservation authority can the national natural monument
(a) make changes to the type of land or the way in which it is used (2);
(b) to store wood or other materials;
(c) to feed animals;
(d) to establish herring;
(e) carry out research or research or geological work linked to interference with the earth's surface which does not cause changes or damage to the national natural heritage;
(f) indicate cycling or pedestrian routes; or
g) camp or start fires.
Efficacy
This Decree shall take effect on 1 July 2010.
