Government Regulation
of 21 October 1947
on the territorial division of the capital of Prague.
The Government of the Czechoslovak Republic orders pursuant to § 1, paragraph 2 of the Act of 6 February 1920, No. 114 Coll., which combines neighbouring municipalities and settlements with Prague:
§ 1.
(1) The territory of the capital city of Prague is divided into twenty city districts.
(2) Individual urban circuits shall be designated as follows:
1. Prague I- Old Town.
2. Prague II-New Town.
3. Prague III-Small Page.
4. Prague IV-Hradčany.
5. Prague V-Josefov.
6. Praha VI-sehrad.
7. Prague VII- Holešovice - Drums.
8. Prague VIII- Libeň; the territory of this city district consists of the urban areas of Bodynice, Kobylisy, Libeň, Střížkov and Troja.
9. Prague IX- Vysočany; the territory of this district consists of the urban areas of Hlubětín, Prosek and Vysočany.
10. Prague X-Karlín.
11. Prague XI-Žižkov; the territory of this city district consists of the urban areas of Hrdlořezy, Malešice and Žižkov.
12. Prague XII- Royal Vinohrady.
13. Praha XIII-Vršovice; the territory of this city district consists of the urban parts of Vršovice and Zachodnice without the local part, called Garden Town.
14. Prague XIV-Nusle; the territory of this district consists of the urban areas of Krč, Michle and Nusle.
15. Prague XV-Braník; the territory of this district consists of the municipalities Braník, Hodkovice and Podoli.
16. Prague XVI-Smíchov; the territory of this city district consists of the cities of Hlučepa, Malá Chuchle, Radlice and Smíchov.
17. Prague XVII- Baskets; the territory of this city district consists of the urban areas of Jinonica, Baskets and Motol.
18. Prague XVIII-Břevnov; the territory of this city district consists of the municipalities of Břevnov, Dolní Liboc and Střešovice.
19. Prague XIX- Dejvice; the territory of this city district consists of the municipalities of Bubeneč, Dejvice, Sedlec, Veleslavin and Vokovice.
20. Praha XX-Strašnice; the territory of this city district consists of the urban parts of Hostivař, Old Strašnice and part of the urban part of Záhodlice, called Garden Town.
§ 2.
(1) The boundaries of the urban districts of the capital city of Prague, up to the border between the urban district of Prague XX-Strašnice and the southern part of the urban district of Prague XIII-Vršovice, form the boundaries of the existing parts of the capital of Prague.
(2) The line between the urban district Prague XX-Strašnice and the southern part of the urban district Prague XIII-Vršovice is a line running from the contact between the borders of the cadastral territories of Michle, Strašnice and Záhodělice in an eastern direction along the borders of the cadastral territory of Strašnice to the eastern edge of the road V korytky, parc. no. 804; from there in the cadastral territory of Zákólice in the south direction along the eastern edge of this road to the contact of the land in parc. no 804, 458 and 459 / 1, then in the eastern direction along the southern border of the land in parc. no 458 to the contact of the land in parc. no 458, no 461 / 10 and no 455; from there in a south direction to the eastern border of plot No 461 / 10 to the original plot No 461, No 465 and No 462 / 1; from there in an eastern direction to the northern border of plot No 462 / 1 and No 463 to the northern border of plot No 465 / 6, No 466 / 1 and No 463, and in a southern direction along the eastern border of plot No 463 to the northern border of route No 803 / 1; further east along the northern border of the road to the eastern border of the parc. no 802 / 1, then south along the eastern border of the road to the northern border of the parc. no 224 / 24; thence east along the northern border of the parc. no 224 / 24 to the eastern border of the parc. no 223 and thence along the northern border of the parc. no 223 / 1, 243 / 58 and 243 / 29; thence south along the eastern border of the land to the eastern border of the parc. no 223 and 222 / 1 to the northern border of the road no 243 / 68 and parc. no 813 / 99, and further south-east along the northern border of the northern border of the road to Hostivac.
§ 3.
The Government Order of 11 January 1923, No. 7 Coll., on the division of Prague into circuits for the selection of local committees and the numbering of new parts of Prague, is hereby repealed.
§ 4.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication; they shall be carried out by the Minister for the Interior.
