GOVERNMENT REGULATION
of 30 May 1996
on the conditions for protecting the national cultural monument of the seat of Parliament of the Czech Republic
The Government orders pursuant to Section 4 of Act No. 59 / 1996 Coll., on the seat of Parliament of the Czech Republic:
To ensure the protection of the national cultural monument of the seat of the Parliament of the Czech Republic 1), the following conditions shall be laid down:
(a) when deciding on the renewal of individual buildings and areas of the seat of Parliament of the Czech Republic, the differentiated concepts of individual buildings and their relationship to the environment in which they are situated must be respected;
(b) the renewal of the seat of the Parliament of the Czech Republic (2) must be directed towards the permanent preservation of the material substance and the monument value of individual buildings and areas, building details and historical art decorations. The external appearance of the buildings will remain and the extent of the built-up areas will not be changed,
(c) all land works in the territory of the national cultural monument must be notified to the competent authority in sufficient time to enable emergency archaeological researchs.3)
Decree No. 118 / 1993 Coll., on the conditions for the protection of the national cultural monument of the seat of Parliament of the Czech Republic is hereby repealed.
This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication.
