DECLARATION
Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs
of 31 December 1968
on maternity benefits and child allowances for jobseekers
The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs provides, pursuant to Section 32 (4) of Act No. 88 / 1968 Coll., on the extension of maternity leave, on maternity benefits and on allowances for children from sickness insurance (hereinafter referred to as "the Act"):
Entitlement to benefits
(1) Entitlement to maternity benefit, childbirth aid and childcare allowance and the amount of such benefits shall be assessed in accordance with the provisions of the law and regulations issued under it, (*) unless otherwise specified.
(2) The benefits under this Order do not belong to a jobseeker who is entitled to similar sickness benefits. However, if the person seeking employment is insured solely for the purpose of public service work (1), the child allowance is granted only under this decree.
Supporting documents for the determination of monetary assistance in maternity, the amount and the manner in which it is provided
(1) The amount of maternity allowance for jobseekers who have received higher education is 48 Cds and 40 Cds for other jobseekers.
(2) Financial assistance in motherhood is granted on calendar days.
The previous provisions shall apply mutatis mutandis to the amount and provision of cash assistance to the jobseeker.
Transitional and final provisions
Cash maternity aid, childbirth aid and child allowance under this Order shall also be granted to citizens who have been registered as jobseekers between 1 July 1968 and 31 December 1968; the benefits are not earlier than 1 July 1968. The six-week period referred to in Paragraph 1 shall not apply here.
This Decree shall take effect on 1 January 1969.
