DECLARATION
of 17 May 2010
on the issue of commemorative silver two hundred crowns for the 150th anniversary of Gustav Mahler's birth
The Czech National Bank provides pursuant to § 22 (a) of Act No. 6 / 1993 Coll., on the Czech National Bank, as amended by Act No. 442 / 2000 Coll.:
§ 1
(1) On 9 June 2010, the 150 anniversary of the birth of the music composer and conductor Gustav Mahler is issued a commemorative silver two hundred crown ("two hundred crown").
(2) Two hundred koruna is issued in the normal version and in a special version with polished field of coin and matte relief (hereinafter "special version").
(3) Two hundred korona in normal and special design is rolled from an alloy containing 900 parts of silver and 100 parts of copper. The weight of two hundred crowns is 13 g, its diameter is 31 mm and its strength is 2,35 mm. In the case of an embossing of two hundred crowns in normal and special design, the tolerance shall be 0,1 mm in diameter and 0,15 mm in thickness. In mass, the tolerance shall be up to 0,26 g and in the silver content shall be up to 1%. The edge of two hundred crowns in normal version is serrated, the edge of two hundred crowns in special version is smooth with the feature "CZECH NATIONAL BANKA * Ag 0.900 * 13 g *."
§ 2
(1) On the cheek of two hundred crowns there is a transcription of the section "Adagietto" from the 5th symphony of Gustav Mahler. At the left edge of the two hundred crown, the name of the state is "CZECH REPUBLIC." Under the note paper is the denomination of the coin with the abbreviation "200 CZK" and the Czech Mint brand consisting of the composition of letters "No" and "M." At the lower right edge of the note paper is placed the initials of the author of the front side of two hundred crowns, Miroslava Česlová, which is composed of letters "ČM" placed above.
(2) There's a portrait of Gustav Mahler on the back of a two-hundred crown. On the edge of the collar of the portrait is the signature of the composer "GUSTAV MAHLER." The numbers "1860-2010" are placed over the collar. At the lower edge of the two-hundredth crown below the year "1860," the initials of the author of the reverse side of the two-hundredth crown, MgA. Josef Oplištil, are placed, which are composed of the associated letters "OJ."
(3) The picture of the two hundred crown is given in the annex to this decree.
§ 3
This Decree shall take effect on 9 June 2010.
